So apparently this month is all “make something out of something you made on your iPhone or iPad” month. This wallpaper was made from a photo on my iPhone 3GS in a department store with my friend Debbi. It reminded me of The Dead Weather album cover “Horehound” so I was inspired to make it into a full wallpaper.
May 20, 2010 – Design
This summer my favorite cartoon Nickelodeon has made since Hey Arnold is being made into a live action movie. Avatar: The Last Airbender a great adventure story following Aang along his journey through the four nations and learning the different elemental powers. The Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads. If you’ve never seen the show go watch every episode and then get back to me. I’ll wait.
The symbols on this wallpaper were designed and made completely on my iPad using Freeform. If you have an iPad I highly recommend it. I exported it and then used my Mac to build the glowing.
April 25, 2010 – Design
I just finished watching Under Great White Northerns Lights, a documentary of The White Stripes. In the movie, the beautiful Meg White has a new drum head that I really liked and immediately pulled out my iPhone and finger-painted an idea of what I want my wallpaper to look like so I could draw it when I get back to my computer. It comes in red and white. This is the result of the hardest button to button. (Oh oh!)
