Gizmodo vs CES, Both Should Go

tvbgone    At CES this year Gizmodo brought a device called TV-B-Gone which is a one-button turn off for all the TVs around you. Very clever idea! CES is full of these TVs which all look the same and there no innovation except for the occasional new format that no one cares about (2 by 4K what?). Gizmodo decided to turn off some TVs as a prank, they even hired a new guy to do it so no one would really get in trouble.

In my opinion the joke was really funny the only part that wasn’t was when they turned off  the TV of the guy giving a presentation. Besides that it was innocent fun. A little corperation-bull and some bull being thrown back in their face.

What am I getting at? Don’t hate Gizmodo for the joke: hate them for the awful blog and lies they report. If you have ever read their blog you know what they are about and inviting them to CES was your own fault.  Gizmodo was very cool about it in the sense that they were prepared to take the consequences. That my friend is the only positive thing I can say about Gizmodo.

I will not link to the Gizmodo video showing the prank because I do not want to give Gizmodo that much promotion.
