Too Many Bad Companies These Days

I have two companies screwing me right now: Verizon and Dish Network. The Verizon issue is still in progress so until thats done I have made a page of all the companies that have screwed me over, most within this year alone!

So check out the Evil Companies page I have opened up!

You Got iPh-owned

open letter

To all iPhone customers:

That’s me! Hey mom, they recognize me!

I have received hundreds of emails from iPhone customers who are upset about Apple dropping the price of iPhone by $200 two months after it went on sale. After reading every one of these emails, I have some observations and conclusions.

Oh, you actually check email at sjobs@apple.com? Nice. So yeah, I had $200 dollars stolen from me, whatcha gonna do about it?

First, I am sure that we are making the correct decision to lower the price of the 8GB iPhone from $599 to $399, and that now is the right time to do it. iPhone is a breakthrough product, and we have the chance to ‘go for it’ this holiday season. iPhone is so far ahead of the competition, and now it will be affordable by even more customers. It benefits both Apple and every iPhone user to get as many new customers as possible in the iPhone ‘tent’. We strongly believe the $399 price will help us do just that this holiday season.

I agree. So let me guess: You guys at Apple can’t think ahead can you? Did you think this holiday season would “magically” disappear? Yeah so that whole “Think Different” thing was replaced with “Think Nothing”?

Second, being in technology for 30+ years I can attest to the fact that the technology road is bumpy. There is always change and improvement, and there is always someone who bought a product before a particular cutoff date and misses the new price or the new operating system or the new whatever. This is life in the technology lane. If you always wait for the next price cut or to buy the new improved model, you’ll never buy any technology product because there is always something better and less expensive on the horizon. The good news is that if you buy products from companies that support them well, like Apple tries to do, you will receive years of useful and satisfying service from them even as newer models are introduced.

Dude, you’re in the technology business? Go on!

Third, even though we are making the right decision to lower the price of iPhone, and even though the technology road is bumpy, we need to do a better job taking care of our early iPhone customers as we aggressively go after new ones with a lower price. Our early customers trusted us, and we must live up to that trust with our actions in moments like these.

If I didn’t trust you I wouldn’t have gotten rid of my lovely Palm Treo. You better live up to expectations and stop cheating on your fans!

Therefore, we have decided to offer every iPhone customer who purchased an iPhone from either Apple or AT&T, and who is not receiving a rebate or any other consideration, a $100 store credit towards the purchase of any product at an Apple Retail Store or the Apple Online Store. Details are still being worked out and will be posted on Apple’s website next week. Stay tuned.

Okay, that’s better then nothing. That’s showing you care. That’s a good thing. Where’s the other hundred dollars you stolen from me?

We want to do the right thing for our valued iPhone customers. We apologize for disappointing some of you, and we are doing our best to live up to your high expectations of Apple.

Aww poor baby! You’re showing you care, that’s better then nothing. I forgive you. Still, not as good as a full $200 refund…

There Was No Apple Event Today

Ugly Ass Fat Nano     I’m going to pretend Apple didn’t replace the cool colors of the iPod Shuffle. I’m going to pretend they didn’t kill off the awesome iPod nanos for a fat ugly thing. I’m going to pretend Apple did not start calling the regular iPod a “classic”. I’m also going to pretend Apple did not flip off everyone who bought an iPhone by killing the 4GB iPhone and dropped the price of the 8GB by two-freaking-hundred dollars. I am also going to pretend Apple is not seriously going to charge people an extra dollar for ringtones.

Ugly Ass Colors     Apple did not have a September 5th event, okay? Do you hear me? Nothing was announced today but wireless downloads for the iPhone and the phone-less iPhone, the iPod touch. But don’t you dare try to tell me that the iPod touch doesn’t have mail, Google Maps, or weather. Which is doesn’t, but don’t tell me that. I want to keep my picture of the perfect Apple, well, perfect. Oh and lets just tell ourself that the iTunes Wifi Store has Podcast support, it doesn’t, but it’d make me feel better.

I was all prepared to post pictures of the awesome new announcements, but remember: there was no announcements.

Oh and Steve, if your listening, check this out.
