I’ve been playing with this Web 2.0 site called ClaimID. It is a website like Del.icio.us but with the intent of helping people make sure that it is you on multiple services on the internet, multiple websites, and it claims to also help with your search engine ranking. I’ve found it very useful just to keep up with the websites I’ve been assosiated with over time. If your interested sign up for as a beta-tester and they will send you an e-mail immediately asking if you would like to join!

With every release from Apple there is the good, the ‘gooder’, and the great… and sometimes the bad. I find little to complain about in this update to the iBook - the MacBook. Obviously it comes in black and white cases, 13.3 inch widescreen display, Mag-Safe charger, Front Row + remote, built-in camera, but what more does this baby have?
They come in black and white and have been rumored to be made like the iPod. Fortunately the case of the laptop looks very durable! Not made in the new iPod-plastic and look really nice and protects the screen with a glossy cover. The keyboard is nicely made and shouldn’t get crumbs as easily. The laptop has no latch when you shut it, it just uses magnets which is great considering I’ve always fumbled with those and hated them. I even broke one on an old Toshiba laptop. I just want to know how good they stay shut if I throw this in my backpack?
The price of this ‘iBook and 12″ Powerbook replacement’ is $1099 for the low end, $1299 for the high-end, and if you want a black version of the high-end $1499. Why does a black version cost more? No idea! But I want it! Okay, in all seriousness my theory is that Apple wants to maintain their “white” look plus your paying the “Apple-Premium” as you would be if you bought the Apple Leather iPod Case or name-brand jeans.
