Unlock the Verizon Razr V3c

Motorola Razr V3c from VerizonWhen you get a Verizon Wireless phone you may notice it’s perminately red and has Verizon written all over it. That is the lock on your new Razr phone. If you’ve ever compared Verizon’s Razr to anyone else’s you know what I mean. What Verizon advertises is that it has Bluetooth, the truth is it only has Bluetooth headset support, unless you bought your phone along time ago. You can fix this by downgrading your phone to version 2 instead of 3 or newer. Or take the big leap to ‘Alltel 4′ and make your phone like everyone else’s with FULL Bluetooth support, extended battery life (a lot longer), faster loading, full MP3 playing support, play videos (.3gp), customizable shortcuts, and the ability to skin your phone (make it look like Windows XP or Mac OS X). I did it to and couldn’t have been happier, but it takes a lot more work then downgrading to version 2 of ‘Verizon’s Interface’. Only downside to Alltel over Verizon’s Interface is calendar syncing support, but then again that’s only available in version 2 of Verizon’s.

Homemade Applications for the PSP

Grand Theft Auto: Libery City Stories (PSP)For those of us who own a Playstation Portable and downloaded the firmware upgrade to 2.0 or 2.6, Sony has told us no more home-made games and applications. Well, that was true until Fanjita! Fanjita discovered that by using the game ‘Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories’ he could edit his saved game to load home-made applications. It honestly isn’t that hard either! I was skeptical about trying it because I’m not a Grand Theft Auto-fan because I’ve never played it, so you can see how nervous I was about turning over $55 after-tax to a man in Target. The game itself has a 9 out of 10 rating so running your own applications on it is a bonus.

Running your own games on it is almost as simple as drag and drop. Which it is sometimes but you need to read the ‘read me’s and description notes to make sure your doing it correctly. So why would you want to do this? You can play old Nintendo games, control your infra-red devices, instant message your friends (AOL, MSN, ICQ, Google Talk, and Yahoo), and run other games too. There is a list that shows what will work and what wont.

If you want to do this, don’t fear - just read and you’re good to go. This message was intended for people with 2.0 to 2.6 firmware installed on the Playstation Portable.
